LAKE RIVIERA ESTATES

"THE DEVELOPMENT"

After many years (after the resort closed down), the park changed ownership and was turned into a land condominium development  with 100 acres of common land plus 30 one acre building lots with individual title.  They were marketed to Winnipeg clients. At first the concept began with a few homes being built by a variety of owners, some professionals, some working families in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Then during the next phase the remaining 20 lots were sold in the 2000s when the final homes were completed. It was during this phase that the development matured to become the beautiful country estate it is today.

Home owners form a board which is elected by the 30 home owners and the 100 acres of common property including the roads, the lake, the dam, and the paths, fields and woodland areas are managed by the directors. We have a landscaping service that keeps the public lawns mowed and the roads are graded in summer and cleared of snow in the winter.

The homeowners meet once per year for a formal meeting and discussions of any news and business at an Annual General Meeting. The homeowners also recieve an annual report of the finances and projects of the condo corp. At this time there is a monthly condo fee for each lot owner of $90 per month.
